Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Handy10 mobile application and website at handy10.io (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Handy10 ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Handy10 — We Are a Marketplace

Handy10 is an online marketplace that connects homeowners and renters ("Users") with independent home service providers ("Professionals" or "Pros"). Handy10 is an intermediary only. We do not ourselves provide home services, employ Professionals, or act as their agent.

All service agreements are made directly between the User and the Professional. Handy10 is not a party to those agreements and is not responsible for the outcome of any service.

Handy10 connects people. The relationship is between you and the Professional you choose — not between you and us.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
  • You must be legally permitted to enter into binding contracts under the laws of the State of Israel.
  • If you register as a Professional, you confirm that you hold all required licenses, permits, and insurance for the services you offer.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at sveta@handy10.io if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are used for fraudulent purposes.

4. Permitted & Prohibited Use

You may use the Platform to:

  • Post legitimate home service requests as a User.
  • Submit bids and communicate with Users as a Professional.
  • Rate and review completed services honestly.

You may NOT:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent service requests or bids.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
  • Circumvent the Platform to conduct transactions off-platform to avoid fees.
  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose.
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce any part of the Platform without written permission.
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or reviews.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code.

5. Professional Listings & Verification Disclaimer

Handy10 allows Professionals to create listings and present their services on the Platform. Unless explicitly and specifically stated otherwise on a Professional's profile, Handy10 does not independently verify, certify, or guarantee the skills, qualifications, licenses, or insurance of any Professional.

Professionals are solely responsible for the accuracy of information they provide on their profiles. Users are encouraged to independently verify credentials before hiring any Professional.

⚠️ Handy10 does not perform the work. We do not employ Professionals. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service provided through the Platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Handy10 and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any property damage, personal injury, or financial loss arising from services performed by a Professional.
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
  • Any disputes between Users and Professionals.
  • Service outages, delays, or errors on the Platform.

Our total liability, if any, is limited to the fees (if any) you paid to Handy10 in the 3 months preceding the claim.

7. Cancellation Policy

Handy10 does not charge Users fees for using the Platform during the current beta period. Cancellation policies for individual service engagements are set between the User and the Professional, and Handy10 is not a party to those arrangements.

We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with appropriate advance notice to registered users.

8. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a User and a Professional, we encourage both parties to resolve it directly. Handy10 may, at its sole discretion, offer mediation support but is not obligated to do so and is not liable for the outcome.

Any legal disputes relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be governed by the laws of the State of Israel and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

9. Account Suspension & Blocking

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Receipt of multiple complaints from other users.
  • Suspected fraud or abuse.
  • Uploading prohibited content.
  • Conduct that damages the reputation or safety of the Platform.

Users whose accounts are terminated for violations are not entitled to a refund of any paid fees.

10. Content Policy

Users may upload photos, text, and other content ("User Content") in connection with service requests or profiles. By uploading content, you confirm that:

  • You own or have the rights to the content you upload.
  • The content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • The content is not offensive, hateful, explicit, or illegal.
  • You grant Handy10 a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and use your content solely to operate and improve the Platform.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to the Handy10 name, logo, design, code, graphics, text, and trademarks — is the exclusive property of Handy10 and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the Platform without our express written permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

13. GDPR & Data Subject Rights

If you are a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, restrict, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at sveta@handy10.io.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
